UNIVERSAL TREATMENT CURRICULUM (UTC) - 3 & 4
UTC has been developed by teams of international experts in the field with overall coordination by the Global Centre for Credentialing and Education of Addiction Professionals (GCCE). It has been developed on evidence-based principles. The curriculum was developed through funding from the U.S. Department of State to the Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme (DAP). Each course is intended to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competencies of treatment professionals, as well as promote evidence-based practice for the enhancement of service delivery and treatment outcomes.
The overall goal of the training series is to reduce the significant health, social, and economic problems associated with substance use disorders (SUDs) by building international treatment capacity through training, professionalizing, and expanding the global treatment workforce. The training prepares counselors for professional certification at the entry-level by providing the latest information about SUDs and their treatment and facilitating hands-on activities to develop skills, confidence, and competence.
The Dale View Care Point is an approved training provider for The Colombo Plan in India.We have signed MOA with the DRUG ADVISORY PROGRAMME-THE COLOMBO PLAN. Our training under DAP is approved in more than 80 countries. Now, we offer a certificate course in regional language Malayalam.

UTC 3: Commonco-occurring mental and Medical Disorders – An Overview for Addiction Professionals.
This course provides the foundation for understanding the science of addiction. It gives an overview of the physiology of addiction as a brain disease and the pharmacology of psychoactive substances.
This course offers an overview of the relationship between co-occurring mental and SUD-related treatment issues.
