Our evidence-based inpatient treatment program includes the following
• PRETREATMENT- DETOXIFICATION
Detoxification is the first step toward recovery. It is the process of clearing substances from the body and managing withdrawal syndrome. It enables the person to become drug-free and prepares the person for ongoing treatment.
During the detox process, patients will be medically monitored around the clock until stable enough to focus on psychological therapy and other activities. Lab investigations will be conducted during this phase as per the Doctors instructions.
• PRIMARY TREATMENT PROGRAMME – PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPY
➤COUNSELLING
Counseling is an integral component of treatment. The individual counsellor will help the client to address the personal, familial, and social issues related to substance use disorder. Counselling sessions will help the client to develop a recovery plan to lead a drug-free life.
➤PSYCHOEDUCATIVE SESSIONS
Psychoeducation provides the opportunity for the clients and their families to learn about addiction and recovery. It helps to understand the science and psychosocial dynamics of addiction with co-occurring/mental health disorders.
➤GROUP THERAPY
Group therapy is considered as a highly effective method in the treatment of substance use disorders. Connecting with peers going through similar challenges helps with the isolation and shame that often accompanies addiction and reminds the client that you’re not alone in your struggles. Group therapy provides a safe place to be vulnerable. The patient will see himself/herself in others and vice versa. The patient will work through problems and learn interpersonal skills and better ways of communicating.
➤FAMILY THERAPY PROGRAMME
Family therapy will help the family to understand addiction as a disease and its impact on the family system in a better way. Family therapy will help the family members to identify their own co-dependency traits and help them to focus on their recovery.
➤DRUG SCREENING
Screening clients for drug use can be useful to verify, contradict, or add to a client’s self-report of substance use and help to assess the efficacy of the treatment plan and the current level of care.
➤SMOKING CESSATION PROGRAMME
The program aims to provide support for tobacco users in order to improve their ability to become and stay nicotine-free. There is a personalized treatment plan (assessment, counselling, Nicotine Replacement Therapy) that can help people quit smoking and other tobacco products
➤PHARMACOTHERAPY
Pharmacotherapy (sometimes called medication-assisted treatment) is the use of medications to assist in the treatment of SUDs.
➤CO-OCCURRING DISORDERS
Co-occurring medical or mental disorders associated with SUD are addressed during the treatment period. Consultation with the Psychiatrist and Physician will be available as an integrated service..
➤ORIENTATION TO MUTUAL - HELP GROUPS
Clients are oriented to mutual–help groups such as AA/NA during the treatment itself. This will motivate the clients to attend mutual help groups after the treatment which is social support for their recovery.
• CONTINUING CARE SUPPORT – FOLLOW-UP SERVICES
Follow-up is an integral part of recovery. Clients and their family members are expected to meet their counsellor and Doctor monthly once for at least two yrs. Clients can share their improvements and recovery related issues with the counsellor and get help.
➤RELAPSE PREVENTION PROGRAMME
Relapse prevention is integral to the journey of recovery for many persons with SUD. It isn’t only about not drinking or not using drugs. Relapse prevention is about learning new skills and modalities for regulating our emotions and behaviors, and replacing unhealthy behaviors with healthy behaviors
