As part of the block placement, Trainee social worker joined the organisation on 14th June 2022, TSW did one month placement. It was such a nice place to have a good exposure. TSW learned many things such as Addiction, different types of drugs and its effects on the body, importance of counselling, psycho education, group therapy and follow up etc. Trainee social worker did many activities under the supervision of case managers. Dale view de-addiction centre provided us good exposure as well as learning throughout our placement period. We completed our 10 days block placement successfully. Trainee joined the agency on 15th November 2021. Initially trainee got orientation class about Addition and its diagnosis criteria. On 17th onwards trainee got assigned case manager as a mentor. Under her supervision trainee learned how to build rapport, how to take ASSIST, interact with client. Trainee got a good exposure in the setting with the help case manager. Trainee also got opportunity to study about individual cases. Trainee took part in after care plan of a client. Also trainee got opportunity to interact with Rehab patients. Trainee has done many group activity with rehab patients. Through the ten days experience trainee learned and experiences a lot and also got opportunity to use the principles and methods of social work.

As trainee, I was there in Dale View past a few days ago ,it was such a good experience in the institution ,was able to fulfil all the objectives.one major thing I noticed during the field work was excellent patient care and follow up by the team.
